Escape and rescue plan

An escape and rescue plan is created in accordance with the DIN ISO 23601 standard and serves to simplify the communication of information about relevant escape and rescue routes, evacuation and fire-fighting facilities in public or commercial buildings. An escape and rescue plan is an essential part of the safety equipment of a building.

In the event of an emergency, accident or fire, such a plan should show the marked route to the next possible exit outdoors or to a safe place and also contains safety rules for what to do in the case of an accident or fire.
